HTC One Dual SIM launched With TATA Docomo At Rs 53,590, (CDMA & GSM)

Smartphone maker HTC and carrier Tata Docomo today announced a partnership, wherein they aim to increase the usage of CDMA phones in India. To do this they will together launch a series of dual-SIM phones in India across all price ranges, starting with the HTC One dual-SIM, which will be available for Rs 53,590.

The HTC One Dual SIM+ comes with support for both CDMA and GSM. In fact, it is also said to be the first from HTC to support UMTS/ HSPA/ 3G connectivity as well as high speed data on CDMA via EVDO.
So this smartphone is basically the HTC One with two differences: the CDMA support and the microSD card slot which can take in cards up to 64GB in size.
   
“Dual-SIM smartphones are more popular as they allow consumers to take advantage of the most effective network coverage in the vicinity of the user for the best possible connections,” said Jack Yang, president, HTC South Asia.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                              

HTC has chosen to not go with stock Android and its Sense 5 user interfacee with a specialized homescreen, Blinkfeed, is a new way to get your news and updates. Tata Docomo customers are eligible for special offers in both CDMA and GSM categories when buying the new HTC One.

HTC has tied up with Tata Docomo to provide special offers to its CDMA and GSM customers. In addition, Tata Docomo is launching special offers for its Prepay and Postpay customers.

Other features included are a 4-megapixel UltraPixel camera with OIS, 2.1-megapixel front camera, built-in BoomSound speakers and Beats Audio integration, 32GB of internal storage and a 2,300 mAh battery. The phone runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean with the Sense 5 user interface with custom HTC experiences like Zoe camera and the Blinkfeed. The partnership will also see Tata Docomo customers (Prepaid and Postpaid) get special offers for both CDMA and GSM customers.
“This phone uses GSM & CDMA networks of Tata Docomo to offer data and voice experience to customers,” said Sunil Tandon, head – Non Voice Services, Tata Docomo.
